Making Gluten Free white bread at home is usually the best to make sure you know exactly what is going into your bread. This is a easy and straight forward way to make your own bread and get to eat it hot out of the oven or bread maker!
Ingredients
- 4 cups White Rice Flour
- 2 large eggs
- 550 ml water
- 6 Tablespoons milk powder (or similar such as nut powder)
- 2 Tablespoons oil
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 2 Tablespoons castor sugar
- 1 1/2 Tablespoons xanthan gum
- 1 1/2 Tablespoons instant yeast
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 355°F (180°C)
- In a large bowl add all the dry ingredients; I prefer to use a whisk to easily and quickly blend all of the ingredients together
- In a separate bowl, add all of the wet ingredients together and blend well
- Add the wet ingredients to the large bowl and combine thoroughly
- Make a hole in the middle of the large bowl with the dry ingredients and slowly add and fold in the wet ingredients; combine until mixed thoroughly
- Pour in a bread tin, cover with cloth, and allow to rise for 1 hour
- Once bread has risen, put into the oven
- Bake for 35-45 minutes until golden brown on the top and cooked thoroughly; use the toothpick method to check if the bread is cooked/cooked if it comes out clean
Tips
Note: if the inside of your bread isn’t cooking but the top is getting dark, place a piece of aluminum foil over the top to keep it from getting too dark
This is also a versatile bread if you'd like to add fruit, nuts, etc you can do so.
